Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT AGES ARE WELCOME AT THE EVENT?

0+ All ages are welcome, there is something for everyone to enjoy!

IS THIS A WHEELCHAIR FRIENDLY EVENT?

This event is wheelchair friendly, unfortunately the parking is limited but please make the most of our drop off and wheelchair friendly parks. Everybody is welcome at this event, please be aware of the strobe lights.

TIMARU - While we make every effort for 100% accessibility, the location of the event means some areas of the gardens are not fully accessible for wheelchairs or prams, however these will be signposted with other pathways available.

WHAT DO THE TICKETS INCLUDE?

Your ticket will include:

  • Entry into the Illuminate Light & Sound Show Event

  • Free interactions

  • Viewing of light and sound experience

WHAT IF IT RAINS?

Based on the advice from Canterbury Weather Updates, we will make a final rain call at 12pm on the day of the event and communicate this to all ticket holders via Facebook, Instagram and Email. In the event of rain, all ticket holders will be moved to a postponement night.

 

We aim to move ticket holders to the next available date, based on capacity.

If existing nights are at capacity, we will try add additional night (s) to ensure everyone can experience the event! (Note: these additional nights may be on a weekend or weeknight, depending on venue requirements).

In the event that you are unable to attend the postponement night, please contact us for a refund.

WILL THERE BE PLACES TO TAKE PHOTOS
WITH ATTRACTIONS?

Yes!

CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD?

Yes! We will have food available on site for all dietary requirements, so no need to bring your own!

DOES MY TICKET ALLOW ME TO COME ON ANY OF
THE DAYS?

No it doesn’t. Please make sure to purchase your ticket for the day that you would like to come.

CAN I BRING MY OWN DRINK?

Yes you can, water and milk is fine. Other drinks will be available to purchase at the event itself from the awesome food vendors.

I'VE SELECTED THE WRONG DATE, CAN I CHANGE THIS?

Unfortunately we can’t directly change tickets. However if you repurchase your desired tickets, we can then refund your original purchase (minus transaction fees associated with the booking).

Once you have purchased your desired tickets send us an email with the original order confirmation number as well as the new order number. We will process this as fast as possible.

CAN I GET A REFUND IF I CAN'T GO ANYMORE?

We do not issue direct refunds. If you are unable to go to the night you have selected you must repurchase tickets for a different night, then we can process a refund for the original tickets (minus transaction fees associated with the booking).

Once you have purchased your new tickets send us an email with the original order confirmation number as well as the new order number. We will process this as fast as possible.

WILL THERE BE TOILETS AVAILABLE?

Absolutely.

IS MY TIME IN THE EVENT LIMITED?

No! Enjoy 5:45pm-9:30pm on site!

IS THERE PARKING AVAILABLE?

There will be some parking available. Carpooling and public transport are recommended.
