​WHERE AM I ABLE TO PURCHASE TICKETS FROM?
Tickets for available nights are able to be purchased from here.
We recommend buying online as this event is expected to sell out.

​CAN I BUY TICKETS AT THE GATE?
Only if we’re not sold out. Gate sales are limited and not guaranteed. Check our Facebook page on the day for updates. Family passes are only available online. Gate tickets are $18 per person.
We do expect this event to sell out, so buying online is the best option to avoid missing out!

DOES MY TICKET ALLOW ME TO COME ON ANY OF
THE DAYS?
The date that is shown on your ticket is the only day it will be valid for. Please do not come on a different day, as you will be turned away.

CAN I BRING MY DOG?
No dogs or other pets are allowed at Illuminate, with the exception of certified assistance animals. This is to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests, as well as to protect the lighting installations and sensitive equipment on site.

HOW MUCH ARE RIDES?
Rides are priced individually between $6–$10. You can pay per ride and choose which ones you’d like to go on.​​
​
ARE THERE ANY STROBE LIGHTS?
Yes. This event features strobe lighting and other intense light effects. We do not recommend attending if you have light sensitivity or epilepsy.
Please avoid looking directly into laser lights, and do not touch or move any lighting installations.

HOW LONG IS THE WALK THROUGH EXPERIENCE?
The full experience is approximately is between 1-2km depending on location and venue. Most people spend 60+ minutes walking through, including time to stop for photos and enjoy the displays at their own pace.
​
We recommend wearing sturdy, comfortable footwear, as some areas may be uneven or on grass. Please also be mindful of families with young children, prams, and other guests while moving through the event.

WHAT AGES ARE WELCOME AT THE EVENT?
All ages are welcome, there is something for everyone to enjoy! Under 1s are FREE - all other attendees must present a valid ticket for entry

IS THIS A WHEELCHAIR FRIENDLY EVENT?
Yes! This event is wheelchair friendly! Some areas may be difficult for prams or wheelchairs to access, these will be signposted with alternative routes available.
​
CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD?
Yes you can! However we we will have food available on site for all dietary requirements with a range of food trucks, so no need to bring your own!
​
CAN I BRING MY OWN DRINKS?
Water and milk is fine. Other beverages will be available to purchase at the event itself from the awesome food vendors.
​
Please note, that drinking alcoholic beverages not purchased from a bar that has obtained a special license for the event is prohibited. If this is found to be the case, then you will be escorted off of the premise.
​
WHAT IF IT RAINS?
Based on the advice from our friends at Canterbury Weather Updates, we will make a final rain call at 12pm on the day of the event and communicate this to all ticket holders via Facebook, Instagram and Email.
​
If we postpone the event in the above circumstances, we may transfer your ticket to the event to an alternative day, which is subject to event capacity and availability. In these circumstances, your event ticket will be able to be used on this alternative date, and you will not be entitled to a refund (unless otherwise required by law).
​
If existing nights are at capacity, we will try add additional night(s) to ensure everyone can experience the event! (Note: these additional nights may be on a weekend or weeknight, depending on venue requirements). The event organiser shall not be held liable for any consequential loss, inconvenience, or travel expenses as a result of postponement or cancellation.

If you cannot attend the event on the alternative day, we will grant you a refund upon your request (minus the transaction fees associated with the booking). Refund requests due to postponement must be submitted via email at least 12 hours prior to the start time of the postponement date.​
​
I'VE SELECTED THE WRONG DATE, CAN I CHANGE THIS?
Transfer Policy: Unfortunately we can’t directly change tickets. However if you repurchase your desired tickets, we can then refund your original purchase (minus transaction fees associated with the booking).
​
Once you have purchased your desired tickets send us an email with the original order confirmation number as well as the new order number. We will process this as quickly as possible.
​
Transfer Procedure: To request a ticket refund once you have repurchased your desired tickets as above, please contact our customer service team via info@illuminateshow.co.nz.
Refund requests for transfers must be submitted via email at least 12 hours prior to the start time of the event date you are requesting a refund for. Please note, refunds will only be issued where the preferred night tickets have been purchased prior to the original ticket event starting.

Booking fees & transaction surcharges are non-refundable. No refund or transfer requests will be considered after the date of your ticket.

CAN I GET A REFUND IF I CAN'T GO ANYMORE?
We do not issue direct refunds if you are no longer able to attend. If you are unable to go to the night you have selected you must follow the transfer procedure.

IS THERE PARKING AVAILABLE?
Car parking for all of our Illuminate events (Invercargill, Nelson, Christchurch and Timaru) is limited to the streets around the venue. We strongly advise you don't park in any reserved zones as your may risk your car being towed or fined.
​
Public transport is an alternative option to attend our event.
​
As always, we ask you to remain vigilant while travelling to Illuminate - look out for cars, cyclists and pedestrians at all times.
